Insurance Verifier

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contact for patients and their families concerning insurance coverage.

• Collect and verify essential patient and insurance details.

• Accurately input patient and insurance information into the registration system.

• Determine the necessity for pre-authorization information.

• Make insurance eligibility determinations using available online resources.

• Secure and document pre-authorization for scheduled patients as necessary based on the procedure.

• Acquire pre-authorization guidelines for emergency patients and relay the information to Utilization Management.

• Address verification issues promptly.

• Relay obtained information to the relevant departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience (2 years).

• 1.5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare field.

• Must be a resident of Michigan.

• Must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.

• Must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year of hire and annually thereafter, or possess an approved medical or religious exemption.
