This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assess and resolve pending insurance balances on Hospital Billing (HB) patient accounts.
β’ Utilize Epic, hospital systems, and analytical abilities to determine subsequent actions for aged account receivables.
β’ Ensure that cash recovery objectives are met and that assigned hospital receivables are managed in compliance with company, client, and federal regulations.
β’ Oversee assigned insurance receivables to fulfill business line expectations.
β’ Achieve productivity, quality, accuracy, monthly cash targets, and service-level requirements.
β’ Conduct account research and navigate accounts through the appropriate client workflows.
β’ Utilize client host systems and patient accounting systems to investigate accounts.
β’ Record actions taken and outline next steps for account resolution.
β’ Employ Epic and Prism for claim updates, workflow requests, and action-step entries.
β’ Request documentation in accordance with account requirements and compliance standards.
β’ Execute basic claim billing functions.
β’ Prepare payment appeals to insurance companies when necessary.
β’ Clearly communicate complex account information.
β’ Manage accounts in alignment with client standards, federal laws, state regulations, departmental requirements, and compliance policies.
β’ Maintain precise records of account attempts and contacts.
β’ Participate in training and promptly apply training and policy updates to daily tasks.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of experience in a healthcare receivables environment, primarily in Hospital Billing (HB).
β’ At least 4 years of experience with Epic.
β’ High School Diploma required.
β’ Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
β’ Basic computer proficiency.
β’ Familiarity with commonly used patient accounting software.
β’ Data management capabilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities.
β’ Capable of effectively communicating with patients, hospitals, insurance providers, and Xtend Employees.
β’ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
β’ Capacity to maintain focus for extended periods.
β’ Proficiency in numerical skills and a solid understanding of administrative procedures.
β’ Ability to perform duties at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours daily.
β’ Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
β’ Compliance with federal and state regulations governing phone calls and collections, including HIPAA, Privacy Act, FCRA, etc.
