This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide assistance and consultation for quoting, selling, and servicing insurance policies.
• Advise customers and offer insights on protection and coverage options.
• Address complex inquiries regarding billing, renewals, and endorsements.
• Deliver service across various channels to enhance customer retention and loyalty.
• Resolve customer grievances and seek management support when necessary.
• Collect, process, consolidate, and analyze data to foster brand loyalty and retention.
• Oversee and maintain closed-loop feedback mechanisms.
• Schedule account follow-ups to meet customer satisfaction and expectations.
• Cultivate professional relationships with other departments to improve customer experience and loyalty.
• Represent General Motors Insurance in a professional manner.
• Implement specialty-team processes and strategies as designated by leadership.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Advanced understanding of General Motors Insurance products, systems, policies, and procedures.
• Familiarity with General Motors Insurance and GM Financial’s culture.
• Capability to influence customers through consultative, educational, and friendly selling and service.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding active listening abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment for customer inquiries and complaint resolution.
• Competence in managing time and assigned accounts/tasks with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing multiple applications/systems.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Professional interaction with customers, leaders, peers, and senior management.
• Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Limited travel may be required.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential shift changes.
• Occasional overtime or split shifts may be needed.
• Proficient in using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
• Ability to assess AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
• Experience in integrating AI into workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection.
• Must possess a current Property and Casualty (P&C) or Personal Lines License in at least one U.S. state.
• Preferably 0–2 years of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
