This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Foster customer relationships through a consultative sales methodology
• Provide insurance quotations and employ sales techniques to finalize transactions
• Assist and advise customers on quoting, selling, and managing insurance policies
• Guide customers on protection, coverage options, billing, renewals, and endorsements
• Deliver services through various channels to enhance customer retention and loyalty
• Address customer complaints and seek managerial support when necessary
• Collect, process, consolidate, and analyze data to enhance brand loyalty and retention
• Oversee and maintain a closed-loop feedback system and schedule account follow-ups
• Build professional relationships with other departments to elevate customer experience
• Represent GM Insurance with a high level of professionalism
• Implement specialty team processes and strategies as directed by GM Insurance leadership
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• In-depth knowledge of General Motors Insurance products, systems, policies, and procedures
• Capability to influence customers through consultative, educational, and approachable selling and servicing
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including active listening
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in customer inquiries and complaint resolution
• Competence in managing time and assigned accounts/tasks with minimal oversight
• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing multiple applications and systems
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
• High level of professionalism when engaging with customers, leaders, peers, and senior management
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Proficient in using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot
• Ability to assess AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
• Experience in integrating AI into workflows
• Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation
• Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection
• Must possess a current Property and Casualty (P&C) or Personal Lines license in at least one U.S. state
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 0–2 years of customer service experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
