This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Take charge of profitable growth in designated markets
• Guide the development of new products and pricing strategies from initial concept to state and national rollout
• Ensure effective execution of new product, pricing, and underwriting strategies at both state and national levels
• Maintain discipline regarding loss ratios and risk tolerance while driving profitable growth
• Ensure that forecasts and business goals reflect current and anticipated market conditions
• Manage catastrophe and concentration risks as the business pursues growth targets
• Analyze competitors and their strategic approaches
• Disseminate competitive insights throughout the organization
• Create impactful market initiatives and tools for competitive intelligence
• Provide regular reports on product performance
• Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance results
• Suggest KPIs and metrics to refine performance tracking
• Ensure products align with customer needs and expectations
• Integrate customer feedback into product development and enhancements
• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, sales, IT, and operations teams
• Ensure compliance of products with relevant regulatory standards and requirements
• Identify and cultivate cross-functional process improvements that boost efficiency and effectiveness
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field is mandatory; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred
• At least 10+ years of experience in product management, actuarial, finance, or related roles in the insurance sector
• Minimum of 5+ years in homeowners insurance is required
• Demonstrated history of successful product launches and strategic initiatives
• Profound understanding of personal lines insurance and reinsurance, including market trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in leveraging data to inform strategic decisions
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
• Capability to convey complex issues clearly to partners and stakeholders
• Creative thinker with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
• Strong financial knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements
• Proven customer-centric approach with the ability to integrate feedback into product strategy
