Insurance Financial Reporting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Document and uphold financial processes to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.

• Analyze month-over-month variations in financial results and deliver clear reports to leadership.

• Collaborate with actuarial and reinsurance teams.

• Partner with the Data Office to identify and outline controls and data availability essential for precise financial reporting.

• Create audit-ready documentation for critical financial processes and controls.

• Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, including quarterly and annual NAIC filings.

• Conduct RBC analysis and utilize NAIC RBC forecasting tools.

• Establish an internal control testing framework for future audit functions.

• Review and document cash handling processes along with reconciliation procedures.

• Work together with Insurance and Compliance teams on data or regulatory requests connected to state expansion or reporting requirements.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing financial transparency, data readiness, and compliance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Over 8 years of experience in property & casualty insurance finance or accounting.

• Ideally, familiarity with GAAP and statutory reporting.

• Strong expertise in financial reporting, controls, and insurance accounting.

• Proficient in interpreting financial results and transforming data into actionable reports.

• Comfortable collaborating across functions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Applicants must currently have authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Preferred candidates should be located in Ohio; candidates may also reside in AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MD, MI, MO, NV, NC, OH, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, and WI.
