Insurance Credit Balance Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify and assess professional billing credit balances to ensure accuracy and facilitate resolution.

• Execute routine credit balance adjustments and process refund requests in line with established policies.

• Investigate basic overpayments stemming from duplicate payments, posting errors, or payer processing issues.

• Record actions taken and direct complex matters for escalation in adherence to guidelines.

• Uphold productivity and quality standards.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside and work full-time in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas prior to the start of employment.

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Level 1: A minimum of 1 year of experience in medical insurance credit resolution is required.

• Level 2: A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical insurance credit resolution is required.

• Level 2: CPB certification must be obtained within 1 year.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

• Experience with EMR systems is preferred, particularly EPIC.

• Background in billing and collections for medical facilities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Foundational understanding of professional billing account structures and payment workflows.

• Ability to adhere to defined workflows and apply policies consistently.

• Knowledge of explanation of benefits (EOB) and insurance reimbursement processes.
