Insurance Coverage Attorney, Illinois Licensed

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee a litigation caseload from its inception to final resolution.

• Assess insurance policies and analyze intricate coverage issues.

• Prepare coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, disclaimer letters, and other correspondence related to coverage.

• Engage in litigation concerning insurance coverage matters, including depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and various other litigation-related documents.

• Maintain direct communication with clients, offering strategic advice and regular updates on case progress.

• Work collaboratively with attorneys from different offices and practice groups on complex coverage and litigation issues.

• Represent national, regional, and international insurance carriers in intricate coverage disputes across a diverse range of insurance lines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Admission to practice law in Illinois is mandatory.

• Admission to practice in Indiana is advantageous.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance coverage and/or insurance coverage litigation.

• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication abilities.

• Capability to independently manage multiple cases in a fast-paced setting.

• Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with professional liability coverage.

• Familiarity with Directors & Officers (D&O) liability coverage.

• Background in financial institutions coverage.

• Experience in drafting coverage opinions and analyzing policies.

• Experience in insurance coverage litigation, including motion practice and depositions.
