This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Submit prior authorization (PA) requests and appeals to insurance payers, ensuring that processing is both timely and accurate.

• Take responsibility for prompt follow-up on submitted PA requests and appeals with insurance companies through phone calls, written communication, or the payer's website to secure decision letters regarding authorizations or denials.

• Analyze approval and denial letters to determine the appropriate next steps and strategies.

• Verify patient insurance coverage as required, ensuring correct processing and accurately identifying patients’ primary insurance.

• Act as a liaison with patients, providing them updates on insurance issues and collecting necessary information as needed.

• Accurately calculate out-of-pocket costs for patients who have received authorization.

• Identify and acquire a Single Case Agreement for patients who have received authorization, following up with insurance companies as needed.

• Obtain HMO referrals from provider offices.

• Maintain documentation of all activities in various reports, ensuring that notes in the CRM system are prompt, accurate, and complete.

• Manage a balanced caseload to effectively achieve organizational goals.

• Regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment.

• Verify patient insurance and submit as well as follow up on pre-authorization and appeals requests to payers.

• Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Support Myomo’s mission to restore arm and hand function through lightweight, non-invasive powered orthoses.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a medical office setting.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Familiarity with various insurance plans and understanding of HIPAA regulations.

• Exceptional customer service skills, professionalism in phone interactions, and warm efficiency.

• Experience in a high-volume work environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Self-motivated with the capability to adjust to new situations, prioritize tasks effectively, and solve problems efficiently.

• Basic knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
