This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform a learning needs analysis through intake/scoping calls, workshops, focus groups, and other analytical activities.
• Establish audience profiles, performance objectives, learning goals, and training insights.
• Develop reports and presentations intended for clients.
• Design strategic instructor-led and multimodal learning solutions, which include curriculum maps and course outlines.
• Create connections, scaffolding, and key themes that align across programs and courses.
• Develop practical exercises, activities, evaluation plans, and measures of effectiveness.
• Utilize technology and tools, such as Microsoft Teams features and lab equipment, to enhance interactivity.
• Prepare and present solution proposals to clients.
• Create activity archetypes and playbooks to facilitate scalable instructor-led training design and development.
• Oversee program implementation and coordinate efforts among administrators, facilitators, and stakeholders.
• Identify and address execution risks and potential error traps.
• Lead collaborative analysis and design workshops involving both internal and external stakeholders.
• Advise project teams on instructional best practices and ensure clear handoffs.
• Collect and implement feedback from peers, stakeholders, clients, subject matter experts, and learners.
• Analyze data to uncover trends and propose continuous improvements.
• Validate the appropriateness of solutions, ensuring business alignment and technical accuracy.
• Act as the primary contact for project stakeholders and manage projects throughout the complete project cycle.
• Develop schedules, manage project scope, establish review workflows, provide status updates, and maintain version control.
• Occasionally travel to Chicago, regional offices, and client locations.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in roles such as Curriculum Designer, Training Specialist, Instructional Designer, Performance Consultant, Training Program Manager, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management capabilities.
• Proven relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work with templates and adhere to established style guidelines.
• Proficiency in ADDIE, SAT, or performance-based training development methodologies.
• Capability to independently devise systematic approaches to identify unclear or undefined performance issues and develop solution visions.
• Experience handling highly technical, complex, regulated content.
• Background in designing extensive, multimodal training solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• No U.S. work authorization sponsorship will be provided.
• A portfolio showcasing needs analysis deliverables, solution designs, and evaluation outcomes is required with the application.
