This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead lectures and classroom activities while providing support to students during their project work.

• Design daily lesson plans and evaluate student performance on an ongoing basis.

• Engage in product feedback for internal tools.

• Deliver impactful training experiences within the classroom environment.

• Offer timely feedback regarding student progress in collaboration with Galvanize staff and co-instructors.

• Maintain a robust Agile software engineering atmosphere.

• Mentor student teams utilizing Agile software engineering principles.

• Advise Product and Project Managers on Agile software engineering practices.

• Cultivate a vibrant and collaborative classroom community.

• Create curriculum and contribute to the Enterprise product portfolio.

• Act as a subject matter expert in business development and solution engineering initiatives.

• Serve as the classroom owner and client-facing leader for Enterprise training sessions.

• Communicate progress, identify challenges, and ensure attainment of established learning outcomes.

• No formal supervisory duties are involved.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree(s) required.

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, C#/.NET, or Python in a production environment, or equivalent experience in consulting or teaching and coaching teams that deliver enterprise-level software products, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, MongoDB, HTTP, APIs, REST, and JSON.

• Capability to pass mandatory background checks for specific client contracts.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site engagements for up to 3 months at various client locations across the US.

• Experience collaborating with Agile or XP teams.

• Prior teaching and/or mentoring experience with developers is preferred, or a strong interest in gaining such experience.

• Pair Programming experience is a plus.

• Current participation or leadership in a high-performing XP team is desirable.
