Instructional Designer Level III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform needs analysis to transform evaluated learner groups and job functions into quantifiable learning objectives.

• Create role-specific courses focusing on Agile methodologies, Jira Cloud, reporting, and administrative processes utilizing ADDIE or SAM frameworks.

• Produce instructor manuals, presentations, demonstrations, exercises, assessments, e-learning modules, and succinct job aids.

• Write and manage content in Articulate Storyline or Rise, and prepare courses for SCORM-compliant LMS deployment.

• Oversee the publication process, course metadata, completion tracking, pilot testing, and revisions in collaboration with LMS and training operations personnel.

• Carry out accessibility evaluations and manage Section 508 and WCAG testing and remediation for self-paced materials.

• Ensure the upkeep of consistent, version-controlled adoption-hub and knowledge-base resources.

• Develop curriculum maps that link learner roles and readiness levels to objectives, prerequisites, modalities, activities, practice tasks, and knowledge assessments.

• Script precise Jira Cloud and Agile demonstrations using consistent terminology, realistic workflows, annotated screenshots, and accessible interaction patterns.

• Create facilitator notes, learner guides, scenario-based exercises, quick-reference materials, and assessment items.

• Execute editorial, functional, and accessibility quality assurance while documenting remediation decisions.

• Manage content versions, review cycles, subject matter expert approvals, and content ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, learning technologies, educational psychology, or a comparable field.

• Over 3 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or performance support.

• Proven experience with ADDIE or SAM methodologies and Articulate Storyline or Rise.

• Familiarity with SCORM packages, LMS course publishing, and training evaluation processes.

• Understanding of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards and principles for accessible content design.

• Capability to secure and maintain a favorable Public Trust determination and meet relevant federal personnel vetting, security, privacy, accessibility, and data-handling standards.

• Certification as a Section 508 Trusted Tester or possession of an equivalent formal accessibility testing credential.

• A portfolio or work samples showcasing both instructor-led design and interactive e-learning or digital performance support.

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical subject matter experts and convert detailed workflows into precise, concise, and accessible learner-facing materials.
