Institutional Lending Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the tenured institutional lending team with a hands-on, development-oriented management style.

• Oversee the institutional loan purchasing process, which includes team training, resource allocation, and review procedures to identify loans that surpass established approval criteria.

• Direct the institutional loan selling process, managing partner interactions, due diligence, pool formation, metrics, and contract evaluations.

• Supervise the loan partner process, guaranteeing timely and appropriate documentation and due diligence for loan buyers while fostering business-partner relationships.

• Collaborate with various departments, including IT and Accounting/Finance, as required.

• Partner with the VP of Institutional Lending to manage the flow of loan sale inventory through partner meetings, executive reporting, and updates for prospective loan buyers and brokers.

• Support the VP of Institutional Lending in analyzing, enhancing, and implementing processes and programs, including the development of new lending offerings.

• Cultivate employee skills through training, constructive feedback, discussions, resource allocation, goal setting, performance evaluations, and necessary corrective actions.

• Serve as a resource for regulators, staff, management, and others.

• Collaborate closely with Accounting to ensure prompt processing and exceptional service for business partners.

• Work alongside Portfolio Management to present departmental and program performance metrics to Senior Leadership.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• A minimum of 8 years of previous lending experience (such as Indirect or Institutional) is essential.

• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role is required.

• Previous experience in the financial sector (such as credit unions or banks) is necessary.

• Must demonstrate strong initiative, effective problem-solving skills, excellent organizational capabilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure workflow efficiency.

• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with business partners while demonstrating effective teamwork is vital.

• Proficient computer skills and the ability to navigate multi-faceted systems are required.

• Capability to show proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Must comply with all State and Federal Regulations relevant to job responsibilities.
