This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Optimize sales of BioMarin's commercial products within the designated area.
• Promote disease education and awareness to identify potential patients and facilitate therapy initiation when appropriate.
• Meet quarterly and annual sales goals, market penetration, market share, and profit objectives for the territory.
• Formulate and execute business plans that encompass strategy, disease awareness, patient identification, adherence, and progress tracking for community-based healthcare professionals.
• Develop and implement plans for institutional opportunities within hospital systems.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key customers and institutions, such as neurologists, pediatric neurologists, epileptologists, geneticists, pediatric orthopedists, nurses, nurse practitioners, genetic counselors, physicians, and their staff.
• Engage with external customers and internal stakeholders both in person and through internet-based platforms.
• Lead by example for fellow Institutional Account Managers.
• Manage the financial aspects of the assigned territory.
• Participate in business planning, disease awareness initiatives, professional society events, and advocacy meetings.
• Become adept at identifying patients (“the find”).
• Show proficiency with CLN2 and MPS data and articulate its importance to key stakeholders.
• Provide field insights to internal business partners regarding the clinical practices of assigned accounts.
• Exhibit leadership within internal teams and influence without formal authority.
• Adhere to company policies at all times.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• 5-7 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare sectors.
• 3-5 years of experience in biotech/specialty sales dealing with high-cost products.
• Extensive knowledge and sales background in hospitals and academic institutions, particularly with KOLs and C-Suite, is highly preferred.
• Previous experience with orphan/rare-disease products is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience with patient identification (“the find”) and a “hunter mentality” is highly preferred.
• Prior involvement in new product launches is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and customer management skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
• Capability to manage a multi-state territory with a diverse customer base.
• Proficiency in communicating with customers via internet-based meeting platforms.
• Commitment to complying with all company policies.
• Willingness to travel overnight, ranging from 50–75% based on geography and business requirements.
