Insights Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete reporting infrastructure, analytical frameworks, and delivery of insights for Instacart Business and Instacart Health.

• Create insights and dashboards at the partner level to ensure timely and accurate visibility into business performance.

• Develop and manage reporting frameworks for external partners, including delivery schedules and data quality assurance.

• Perform in-depth analyses to identify performance gaps and actionable opportunities for growth.

• Design and implement ongoing analytical programs, such as retention studies, cohort analyses, and pipeline health assessments.

• Address reporting coverage gaps and create scalable self-service tools.

• Collaborate with internal leaders, commercial teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners.

• Convert raw data and SQL analyses into narratives and decisions that are ready for stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or insights, with at least 2 years in a B2B, commercial, or GTM-facing role.

• Proven experience managing end-to-end reporting programs, from data sourcing and modeling to delivery and stakeholder communication.

• Strong expertise in SQL.

• Proficient in at least one BI/visualization tool, such as Tableau, Looker, or Mode.

• Experience in building and maintaining recurring, comprehensive business-line reports and analytical frameworks at scale.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and leadership.

• Understanding of sales performance metrics, pipeline tracking, and customer retention frameworks.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

• Optional: Experience in a technology, marketplace, or B2B sales environment.

• Optional: Familiarity with CRM data, such as Salesforce.

• Optional: Experience in building or contributing to reporting programs for external partners.

• Optional: Proven ability to transform ambiguous problem statements into clear, scalable analytical outputs.
