Inside Property Adjuster – Trainee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual inspections of property damage

• Assess coverage and interpret insurance policies

• Prepare estimates and resolve claims efficiently and accurately

• Manage water-loss claims

• Communicate with customers, contractors, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants via voice calls, email, text messages, and video chat

• Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements based on legal and business standards

• Utilize Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, estimation tools, job aids, and settlement platforms

• Accurately and promptly document claim activities in the claims system

• Deliver compassionate customer service and assist policyholders throughout the claims process

• Operate independently in a fast-paced virtual environment

• Engage in comprehensive initial and ongoing training

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of previous customer service experience required

• Previous experience in the industry is highly preferred

• Familiarity with Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments is desirable

• Capability to evaluate property damages and accurately assess claim coverage

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time in a virtual work setting

• Detail-oriented and organized, focusing on high-quality and efficient claim resolutions

• Preference for candidates residing in the Central & Eastern time zones

• May need to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, if applicable

• Must undergo a background investigation

• Must have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace with appropriate desk and seating

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
