This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Investigate, assess, negotiate, and resolve intricate homeowners property claims that involve substantial damages and risks.
• Oversee large loss claims resulting from fires, weather incidents, catastrophes, and other significant property damages.
• Determine coverage, assess damages, and make claim decisions within designated authority limits.
• Review estimates from contractors and independent adjusters for accuracy, scope, and repair recommendations.
• Use Xactimate estimates and supporting documentation to evaluate damages and pinpoint discrepancies or opportunities for clarification.
• Manage claim authority requests and document the rationale for elevated approvals.
• Address additional living expense (ALE) and personal property exposures.
• Work collaboratively with contractors, mitigation vendors, independent adjusters, legal partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to less experienced claims professionals.
• Maintain communication with customers while managing complex claims that may take a long time to resolve.
• Primarily support homeowners claims across the Western region.
• No field inspections are required; physical inspections are conducted by independent adjusters, contractors, and other third-party partners.
• Extensive experience in handling large loss residential property claims, typically valued at over $100,000.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction, repair processes, and property damage assessment.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting Xactimate estimates.
• Ability to independently manage complex claims with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven capability to handle multiple complex cases simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in managing catastrophe-related property claims (preferred).
• Background in handling fire, wind, hail, wildfire, or severe weather-related losses (preferred).
• Previous experience collaborating with contractors, independent adjusters, and restoration vendors (preferred).
• Prior experience in leadership, mentoring, or peer coaching (preferred).
• Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
• A dedicated, private home workspace that is free from distractions.
• Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Provision of a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
• Monthly reimbursement for internet connectivity costs.
