This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Market, quote, negotiate, and secure new and renewal business in commercial casualty.
• Analyze submissions to determine suitable markets, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions.
• Negotiate intricate renewals and new placements with insurance carriers and wholesale markets.
• Assess quotes and contract provisions, presenting pricing, coverage, and terms effectively.
• Order, evaluate, and review additional risk information to support informed underwriting decisions.
• Finalize policies through recommendations, binding, invoicing, and issuance processes.
• Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and carrier partners.
• Develop new carrier relationships to enhance market access and placement options.
• Ensure precision and compliance within agency management systems and documentation.
• Review policies for correctness and address any discrepancies.
• Prepare submissions, reports, cover letters, and other related documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and best practices in commercial property.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
• Active State Property & Casualty license and/or Surplus Lines license is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in wholesale casualty insurance brokerage.
• Ability to execute tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Strong background in commercial casualty placements.
• Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced brokerage workflows for large and complex commercial casualty accounts.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills with insurance carriers and wholesale markets.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while maintaining high responsiveness.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant industry designations such as CIC, CISR, AAI, or progress towards CPCU are preferred.
• Established relationships with carriers in the commercial property and casualty marketplace are preferred.
