This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Assess and analyze casualty submissions to pinpoint essential exposures, coverage requirements, and placement prospects.
β’ Evaluate risks and devise effective marketing strategies to obtain competitive coverage solutions.
β’ Identify suitable carrier and wholesale market options based on risk characteristics, underwriting appetite, and client requirements.
β’ Compile and present submissions to carriers with thorough and accurate information.
β’ Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage enhancements with carrier partners.
β’ Explain and present coverage options, exclusions, and recommendations to retail brokers and internal stakeholders.
β’ Act as a technical resource for retail agents, offering guidance and market insights throughout the placement process.
β’ Develop and sustain relationships with carrier underwriters and market partners.
β’ Serve as a liaison between retail brokers and insurance markets to ensure prompt communication and issue resolution.
β’ Collaborate effectively with producers, brokers, and support staff.
β’ Oversee opportunities from submission through quoting, binding, and policy issuance.
β’ Keep accurate documentation, correspondence, and transaction details within agency management systems.
β’ Coordinate follow-up activities with carriers and brokers.
β’ Support renewals, remarketing initiatives, and account retention strategies.
β’ Stay informed about casualty products, market trends, underwriting appetites, and carrier capabilities.
β’ Identify opportunities to enhance coverage placement, strengthen relationships, and expand existing business.
β’ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members when appropriate.
β’ Engage in continuing education, licensing, and professional development activities.
β’ 5+ years of experience in wholesale brokerage, underwriting, or commercial casualty insurance.
β’ In-depth knowledge of casualty coverages, including General Liability, Excess Liability/Umbrella, Products Liability, and other complex casualty risks.
β’ Proficiency in marketing accounts and negotiating directly with underwriters and carrier partners.
β’ Capability to independently assess risks and provide sound placement recommendations.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines.
β’ Self-motivated and effective in a remote work environment.
β’ State Property & Casualty License and/or Surplus Lines License.
β’ Preferred experience in wholesale brokerage within E&S or specialty casualty markets.
β’ Preferred experience handling middle-market or complex casualty placements.
β’ Established relationships with carriers in casualty markets are preferred.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
β’ Preferred professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, ARM, or CRIS.
