• Perform thorough needs assessments to grasp customer challenges, objectives, and opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor for Elsevier, aligning solutions with customer strategies.
• Meet revenue goals through new client acquisitions and timely contract renewals.
• Leverage data and insights to guide decisions, accurately forecast, and identify growth opportunities across the entire portfolio.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to create and implement strategic account plans.
• Engage with stakeholders and present solutions in a clear and persuasive manner.
• Promote inclusion and utilize diverse perspectives.
• Navigate complex, matrixed environments and adjust to evolving customer needs and market conditions.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer industries, Elsevier’s offerings, and emerging trends.
• Establish both internal and external connections to expedite decision-making and minimize barriers.
• Identify and analyze customer priorities, pain points, and strategic goals.
• Effectively position Elsevier’s integrated products and services.
• Maintain a sense of urgency and accountability in reaching revenue and growth objectives.
• Utilize analytics and insights to direct actions and assess impact.
• Build trust and promote collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Adapt to complex situations while maintaining focus under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, ideally within corporate or knowledge-driven sectors.
• Demonstrated success in strategic account management and consultative selling.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and various sales enablement tools.
• Experience in a matrix organization and adept at managing intricate stakeholder relationships.
