This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct second-level reviews of coding on accounts returned from Revint, Iodine, coding audits, and the coding/billing editor.

• Offer education and support to coders on accurate coding based on the findings of second-level reviews.

• Aid the coding manager and the coding department with inquiries, coding reviews, and questions from coders.

• Code inpatient accounts when additional coverage is necessary.

• Oversee and assist the coding manager in managing DNFC to meet established goals.

• Participate in Tenet coding education sessions and uphold coding credentials.

• Perform coding of diagnoses and procedures for inpatient accounts according to ICD-10-CM/PCS under general supervision, utilizing Official Coding Guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management.

• RHIT or CCS certification.

• 3-5 years of experience in acute hospital coding.

• Proficient in the MS Office suite.

• Ability to analyze coding-related reports and implement necessary actions.

• A coding proficiency assessment will be administered prior to employment.
