Ingeniero de QA Junior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, document, and execute functional and regression test cases

• Identify, report, and monitor defects until resolution

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle

• Participate in defining acceptance criteria alongside Product/Business

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality and delivery processes

• Assist in preparing quality status reports and testing metrics

• Ensure product and delivery process quality through functional testing and early defect detection

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Previous experience of 1 to 3 years in software quality assurance (QA)

• Knowledge of software testing fundamentals (types of tests, testing lifecycle, test case design)

• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or others)

• Basic understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

• Clear communication skills, both oral and written

• Attention to detail and analytical thinking

• Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team

• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement

• Basic knowledge of test automation (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or other tools)

• SQL knowledge for data validation

• Experience with API testing (Postman or other tools)

• Intermediate level of English

• Prior experience in projects within the financial or banking sector
