Infrastructure Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Analyze intricate issues across servers, networks, cloud infrastructures, and systems to determine underlying causes.

• Propose solutions that balance technical practicality, deadlines, and client priorities.

• Evaluate, enhance, and automate processes to increase reliability, efficiency, and consistency.

• Identify risks and implement strategies to prevent disruptions.

• Design comprehensive infrastructure solutions across various platforms and technologies.

• Integrate systems within hybrid cloud and on-premises settings.

• Automate workflows and processes to optimize delivery and minimize errors.

• Record architectures and procedures for hand-offs, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Architects, Project Managers, and Technicians.

• Oversee project delivery from inception to completion while ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.

• Clearly convey technical solutions to customers and stakeholders.

• Achieve significant results that enhance customer trust.

• Broaden expertise in cloud platforms, enterprise IT systems, and emerging technologies.

• Attain certifications and qualifications through hands-on projects.

• Explore career advancement towards Architect or Distinguished Engineer positions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in infrastructure monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Selector AI.

• Experience in database administration with MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, or equivalent technologies.

• Background in project development, deployment, and management.

• Extensive knowledge in a specific technology area, including software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data analytics.

• Familiarity with enterprise IT applications.

• Practical experience in software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture within the public cloud AWS domain.

• Comprehensive understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Awareness of a broad range of IT concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for creating technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

• Ability to apply logic and reasoning to assess alternative solutions, conclusions, or strategies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

• Willingness to work at client, customer, or partner locations where applicable; proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
