Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Safeguard, enhance, and oversee the foundational infrastructure that supports Roboflow's offerings

• Manage cloud architecture, databases, file storage, search clusters, microservices, and machine learning pipelines

• Achieve a balance between swift delivery, high reliability, and strong security measures

• Function as an infrastructure engineer, developer, and security analyst as required

• Collaborate with the product team as well as across product, operations, and customer-oriented projects

• Operate and fine-tune a high-availability machine learning inference service

• Work together with customer security teams to ensure secure integration

• Create Infrastructure-as-Code solutions that enable cost-effective platform scaling

• Establish SLOs/SLAs and engage in incident response efforts

• Enhance observability and alerting systems along with their associated processes

• Identify and execute cost-optimization initiatives

• Contribute Python and JavaScript code to enhance product features

• Resolve security vulnerabilities and bugs

• Strengthen systems and processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR standards

• Take part in an on-call rotation

• Acquire knowledge about the product, company, customers, infrastructure, and security protocols

• Deliver meaningful work to end users

• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and support customers with security inquiries and onboarding

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production setting

• Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code utilizing Terraform, Helm charts, bash scripting, and Python

• Experience in operating, monitoring, and scaling large-scale applications within AWS and/or GCP

• Strong skills in Node.js and Python

• Ability to work collaboratively with full-stack developers in designing and running SaaS applications

• Practical experience with infrastructure for machine learning at scale, including GPUs, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Experience using CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Spacelift

• Awareness of security best practices for cloud environments

• Experience integrating LLMs and AI tools into the development lifecycle

• Willingness to take part in an on-call rotation

• Ability to primarily work during daytime hours in the US

• Capacity to attend a few synchronous meetings weekly

• Must be able to pass a background check and provide references
