Senior Azure Infrastructure Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee Azure and M365 consulting initiatives alongside client stakeholders.

• Synchronize technological solutions with business requirements.

• Develop solution architectures, migration strategies, and executive presentations.

• Engage in hands-on implementation tasks for consulting projects.

• Provide leadership for projects, ensuring overall solution success and delivery.

• Collaborate with client IT teams, offering guidance and assistance.

• Facilitate architecture reviews, governance boards, and design discussions with senior client stakeholders.

• Offer occasional escalation support for managed services and client support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing IT consulting roles specializing in Azure and M365.

• Proven experience in producing client-facing deliverables such as solution architectures, project documentation, and root cause analysis reports.

• Background in migrating large enterprise clients to Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions.

• Expertise in designing secure, enterprise-scale Azure environments centered on infrastructure in alignment with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.

• Extensive knowledge of Azure governance, cost management, and scalability aspects, such as tagging, hub-and-spoke designs, management groups, billing, and ExpressRoute/VPN connections.

• Familiarity with Azure infrastructure concepts, including VMs, disks and storage, and networking.

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.

• Skilled in evaluating and modernizing legacy infrastructure for cloud migration using rehost, replatform, and refactor approaches.

• General knowledge of the M365 suite, which includes Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and associated services.

• Practical experience implementing or managing Entra ID (Azure AD), encompassing MFA, Conditional Access Policies, and hybrid identity solutions via Entra Connect sync.

• Experience in delivering Microsoft Security solutions, such as the Microsoft Defender Suite, Cloud App Security, Information Protection, and Entra ID Identity Protection.

• Understanding of Microsoft Governance and Compliance tools, including Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Priva, and DLP policies.
