Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and continuously enhance essential infrastructure, including cloud services, data pipelines, deployments, and observability.

• Drive reductions in Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and latency while ensuring reliability.

• Architect and maintain scalable, data-intensive backend infrastructure utilizing Python, FastAPI, Kafka, Docker, and cloud platforms.

• Develop and manage deployment pipelines, incorporating blue/green and canary deployments, CI/CD tools, and release processes that support zero-downtime launches.

• Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure visibility into system health across various geographies and environments.

• Create tools that offer transparent access to data stored in diverse geographic locations and formats.

• Collaborate with backend, deep learning, and embedded engineering teams as the infrastructure evolves in line with product and model requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at scale.

• Proficient in Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker in production environments.

• Experience in Python software development.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

• Knowledge of observability practices with Prometheus, including metrics, alerting, and instrumentation.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and deployment strategies, such as blue/green, canary, and feature flags.

• Bonus: MySQL expertise, including query tuning and operational knowledge.

• Nice to have: Experience with MongoDB, Kafka or similar streaming platforms, and CircleCI.

• Advantageous: Experience with data-intensive applications and microservices at scale.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Comfortable collaborating across time zones with a global team.

• Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation.
