This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.
• Design, develop, and maintain primarily Python software aimed at automating infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.
• Contribute to the enhancement and adoption of Terraform, focusing on state management, modularization, and best practices for version control.
• Utilize Ansible and/or Saltstack to ensure consistency, repeatability, and standardization across various environments.
• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application deployments.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation following a follow-the-sun model and ensure sustainable incident response.
• Conduct blameless postmortems and promote continuous improvement.
• Advocate for SRE principles, automation, and best coding practices throughout the organization.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience managing production environments in AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Capability to write clean, maintainable, and testable infrastructure code.
• Experience with Terraform, specifically in state management and modular design in complex settings.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux internals.
• Advanced skills in Bash scripting and command-line operations.
• Proficiency in Ansible and/or Saltstack.
• Expert understanding of Git and collaborative workflows.
• Experience in transitioning legacy or manual operations to automated, infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Experience in operating and querying OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• A desire to work within enterprise and government-focused computing environments that require robust security and reliability.
• MS/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
