Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, deploy, and manage infrastructure across multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365/Entra ID.

• Write, review, and uphold Terraform modules and infrastructure as code.

• Develop and sustain production services using Go and Python, along with GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.

• Deploy and take ownership of new services, monitor their health, and respond to incidents as they arise.

• Oversee Azure compute, storage, networking, and secrets management.

• Provide support for Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, encompassing conditional access and endpoint management via MDM platforms.

• Build and maintain integrations between various business systems.

• Create and update automations for diverse tasks and workflows.

• Conduct general network troubleshooting for small business locations.

• Implement infrastructure and maintenance changes in accordance with change management protocols.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools and support internal AI services.

• Offer assistance, guidance, and mentorship to analyst roles.

• Develop tools, enhance processes, and create training materials.

• Act as the configuration manager for promoting infrastructure from development to testing, demonstration, and production environments.

• Carry out daily tasks and projects assigned by leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field OR 6+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Production experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and application/service development in Go or Python.

• Familiarity with building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

• Practical experience administering Azure.

• Experience in system integration.

• Working knowledge of identity and access management; experience with Entra ID is preferred.

• Prior experience with Salesforce is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and Linux/Windows server administration.

• Comfortable using AI coding assistants within an engineering workflow.

• Demonstrates sound judgment in decision-making that positively affects users, projects, and Bishop Fox.

• Excels in process development with a proven ability to create templates and documentation for new processes.

• Provides exceptional customer service to internal customers and vendors.

• Able to navigate unusual hours and last-minute requests with flexibility and composure.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong at building professional trust and maintaining confidentiality.

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work as a self-motivated individual contributor.
