Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage and uphold production infrastructure along with distributed systems.

• Scale, migrate, and ensure failover of databases, queues, and stateful workloads without any downtime.

• Troubleshoot distributed systems from observed symptoms to confirmed root causes.

• Record incidents and their root causes to facilitate action by others.

• Implement security measures such as least privilege, blast-radius control, and secrets management.

• Create automation and tooling for infrastructure using Python, Go, or Bash.

• Assume responsibility for products, projects, and initiatives.

• Develop strategies or components of strategies and design/build scalable solutions and processes.

• Work collaboratively with a global, fully remote team at 360Dialog, a WhatsApp platform for independent software providers.

• Demonstrated proactive ownership and capability to drive outcomes independently.

• Experience in operating production systems, including databases, queues, and stateful workloads.

• Proven track record in scaling, managing failover, and executing migrations without downtime.

• Skill in debugging unfamiliar distributed systems from symptom identification to confirmed root cause.

• Ability to document root causes and produce actionable insights.

• Awareness of security principles, including least privilege, blast radius, and secrets management.

• Proficiency in coding infrastructure with Python, Go, or Bash.

• Fluent in written English.

• Possess a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.

• Capable of utilizing AI assistants effectively and recognizing their inaccuracies.

• Suitable for talented junior or experienced senior profiles.
