Infrastructure Development Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Identify and originate Ready-to-Build solar and BESS projects through collaboration with developers, landowners, and industry connections.

• Oversee technical, grid, planning, and commercial due diligence on potential acquisition opportunities.

• Manage the entire transaction process, from initial discussions through to negotiation and closure.

• Evaluate project risks related to grid connection, permitting, land acquisition, and readiness for construction.

• Lead selected greenfield solar and BESS projects from site selection to achieving Ready-to-Build status.

• Collaborate with the technical team to formulate grid connection strategies in partnership with AEMO, DNSPs, and TNSPs.

• Cultivate relationships with developers, advisors, landowners, and stakeholders within the Australian market.

• Ensure that acquired and developed projects are feasible, scalable, and primed for construction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, or renewable energy development, acquisitions, or M&A.

• Demonstrated success in originating, evaluating, or finalizing renewable energy project transactions.

• In-depth knowledge of Australian grid connection processes, including AEMO, DNSPs, and state-level approvals.

• Strong technical and commercial comprehension of solar PV and battery storage systems.

• Highly motivated and proactive, with a history of achieving objectives independently.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, early-stage setting.

• Extensive network among Australian developers, landowners, and industry stakeholders is advantageous.
