Infrastructure Architect – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Define and uphold the technical architecture across infrastructure, End User Computing (EUC), identity, network, and security domains.

• Provide architectural governance and design assurance throughout migration and transformation workstreams.

• Assist in the design and integration of enterprise services during extensive device migration initiatives.

• Ensure alignment of technical solutions with enterprise standards, security policies, and strategic roadmaps.

• Review technical designs involving infrastructure, EUC, Active Directory, networking, and security.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, EUC, security, networking, and application teams to guarantee end-to-end solution alignment.

• Define target-state and transitional architecture throughout migration programs.

• Identify risks, dependencies, and design gaps while offering mitigation strategies.

• Ensure scalable and secure identity and access management models across enterprise systems.

• Oversee network and security architecture, which includes segmentation and firewall strategies based on Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture.

• Provide architectural insights during major incidents, problem investigations, and root cause analyses.

• Interview business stakeholders to comprehend requirements and drivers.

• Support assessments and design validation of vendor and third-party solutions.

• Contribute to enterprise roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experienced Technical Architect with a proven track record in enterprise architecture across large-scale IT environments and transformation programs.

• Strong foundation in infrastructure, Active Directory/identity, networking, and security architecture.

• Experience in delivering architecture within large-scale migration, modernization, or enterprise transformation initiatives.

• Profound understanding of enterprise IT operations, service delivery models, and ITIL-based governance frameworks.

• Experience in working within regulated or highly controlled enterprise environments.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities at both technical and executive levels.

• Capability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced project delivery environments.

• Expertise in enterprise infrastructure and identity architecture, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows and Linux Server.

• Knowledge of enterprise networking, including LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, Cisco technologies, segmentation, and firewall architecture.

• Understanding of security architecture, including Palo Alto firewalls, Zero Trust principles, secure access models, and endpoint/security alignment.

• Familiarity with Citrix or VDI environments.
