Infosec Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise systems, log analysis systems, and endpoint collection systems to detect and investigate complex cybersecurity challenges.

• Be an active contributor to a team delivering monitoring, detection, and response services.

• Implement strategies to secure applications and platforms within client environments.

• Identify and propose enhancements to security posture aimed at mitigating cyber-attack risks.

• Articulate the capabilities and advantages of MDR services to clients.

• Address customer scenarios, document solutions, and provide prompt resolutions to MDR-related queries.

• Work in partnership with Support and various internal teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

• Assist Security and Threat Response teams as needed.

• Generate reports related to MDR services.

• Monitor and report on remediation efforts.

• Engage with customers through phone, email, messaging platforms, and virtual meetings.

• Assess customer environments and security configurations for coverage, operational readiness, and suggestions for security posture improvements.

• Offer guidance and recommendations regarding MDR services.

• Support customers during onboarding and service adoption processes.

• Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, Product, and other stakeholders.

• Maintain documentation regarding customer interactions, recommendations, and remediation activities.

• Enhance knowledge of Sophos products, services, and cybersecurity best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related area; or equivalent practical experience.

• Willingness to work beyond standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, to provide 24x7x365 MDR service.

• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to achieving high-quality customer outcomes.

• Customer-centric mindset with skills in communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement.

• Fundamental knowledge of essential cybersecurity concepts.

• Basic understanding of network traffic analysis, TCP/IP, routing, switching, protocols, and networking principles.

• Experience in vulnerability management.

• Basic understanding of enterprise information security data management.

• Experience with SIEM, EDR, or XDR is a plus.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity operations and managed security services.

• Understanding of endpoint, network, cloud, and identity security concepts.

• Knowledge of security monitoring, vulnerability management, and principles for reducing cyber risk.

• Experience in reviewing security configurations and providing best-practice security recommendations.

• Ability to analyze operational, security, and configuration data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.

• Strong skills in customer engagement and stakeholder management.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
