Information System Security Manager – ISSM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and comprehend intricate legacy mainframe codebases such as COBOL and PL/I utilizing generative AI tools.

• Detect code patterns, dependencies, and potential areas for optimization.

• Leverage AI to refactor, translate, and re-architect mainframe applications into modern languages like Java and Python, as well as microservices and other contemporary architectures.

• Implement AI-driven code generation while maintaining high standards of code quality and maintainability.

• Design and execute data migration strategies for transitioning from legacy mainframe systems to modern databases or cloud platforms.

• Utilize AI to automate data transformation processes and ensure data integrity.

• Develop and implement testing plans that address both functional and performance requirements.

• Employ AI for automated test case generation and execution.

• Collaborate with mainframe specialists, architects, and developers to achieve modernization objectives and address constraints.

• Stay informed on advancements in generative AI and integrate them to enhance modernization efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience utilizing LLMs through APIs such as Claude and Gemini.

• Familiarity with LLM architectures, including their advantages and limitations.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.

• Direct technical experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions.

• Cloud certifications in architecture, data engineering, and/or machine learning are preferred.

• Experience working on government technology projects and programs.

• Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
