Information Security, IT Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage and enhance internal security platforms, such as SecurityScorecard and various posture management tools.

• Assess risks, monitor vulnerabilities, and aid in continuous improvements of the security posture.

• Coordinate regular technical workflows with the external managed service provider.

• Evaluate operational risks and ensure IT activities comply with enterprise security standards.

• Analyze phishing emails reported by employees, implement remediation steps, and escalate security incidents under the guidance of the CISO.

• Conduct configuration and access audits across Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.

• Assess risks, enforce least-privilege access, and uphold multi-factor authentication standards.

• Review configurations and security posture across Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS in accordance with CIS benchmarks.

• Assist with log reviews, system health evaluations, and documentation for HIPAA, HITRUST CSF, and SOC 2 audits.

• Review, modify, draft, and update information security policies, standards, and standard operating procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge of Google Workspace administration.

• Awareness of cloud concepts, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Formal technical education is advantageous, including a bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, technical bootcamp, trade program, or equivalent practical training/experience in Support, Computing principles, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications or certificates should be listed, such as Security+ or AWS fundamentals/security.
