Information Security Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Further enhancement of the information security management system, including its associated policies, processes, and controls.

• Preparation for, assistance during, and follow-up of both internal and external audits, particularly those pertaining to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

• Evaluation of information security risks.

• Executing supplier and third-party security assessments.

• Providing guidance to business units, IT, DevSecOps, and management.

• Assisting with security incidents, vulnerabilities, and activities related to business continuity and disaster recovery.

• Fostering security awareness across the organization.

• Compiling reports, KPIs, and materials for decision-making purposes.

• Aiding the CISO in the ongoing development of the information security management system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience in information security management, preferably within a regulated or customer-regulated setting.

• A university degree or vocational training in information security, computer science, business information systems, or a related field.

• Hands-on knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001:2022, information security risk management, and control assessment.

• Basic understanding of or practical experience with relevant regulatory and legal frameworks, such as DORA and NIS2.

• Experience in supplier security, security awareness, and business continuity planning.

• Familiarity with cloud security or DevSecOps is a plus.

• A structured, independent, and pragmatic approach to tasks.

• Outstanding communication and consulting abilities.

• Proficient German language skills at C1 level.

• Good command of English language.

• Certifications like ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC are advantageous.
