Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist in ensuring security compliance and conducting regulatory audits within Cisco’s cloud compliance portfolio.

• Work alongside compliance engineers to create and implement unified control strategies for various audits.

• Collaborate with Cisco Business Units to encourage the adoption and adherence to Common Cloud Controls.

• Act as a subject matter expert on security compliance frameworks, providing guidance to product and engineering teams.

• Perform information security evaluations across a range of products.

• Generate reports that summarize compliance findings and outline remediation strategies.

• Collaborate with CloudARC leadership and Product Management to establish and update Product Compliance roadmaps for Cisco Cloud solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a security or compliance position.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS or other prominent cloud environments.

• Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance and security frameworks such as ISO 27001/17/18, SOC2, C5, ENS, and similar standards.

• Strong understanding of Secure SDLC, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Vulnerability Management, and Backup/Disaster Recovery.

• Experience collaborating with auditors to achieve and sustain compliance certifications.

• Preferred industry certifications include CISA, CISSP, CCSK, or equivalent credentials.

• A Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in supporting the delivery of compliance reports and certifications.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
