Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist with security compliance and regulatory audits within Cisco’s cloud compliance portfolio.

• Work alongside compliance engineers to create and implement unified control strategies for audits.

• Collaborate with Cisco Business Units to facilitate the adoption and adherence to Common Cloud Controls.

• Act as a subject matter expert in security compliance frameworks and advise product and engineering teams.

• Perform information security evaluations across a range of products.

• Generate reports that summarize compliance findings and remediation strategies.

• Collaborate with CloudARC leaders and Product Management to craft and uphold Product Compliance roadmaps for Cisco Cloud solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a security or compliance-related role.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS or other leading cloud environments.

• Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance and security frameworks such as ISO 27001/17/18, SOC2, C5, ENS, and other similar standards.

• Strong understanding of Secure SDLC, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Vulnerability Management, and Backup/Disaster Recovery.

• Experience collaborating with auditors to ensure the attainment and upkeep of compliance certifications.

• Industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CCSK, or equivalent are preferred.

• Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Proven experience in supporting the delivery of compliance reports and certifications.
