Information Security Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee the SIEM for alerts across various clients and time zones.

• Assess alerts from different log sources and pinpoint their origins.

• Offer recommendations for resolving identified security concerns.

• Evaluate and document security threats within clients' networks.

• Utilize a range of security platforms and technologies.

• Manage the consequences of security incidents or cyberattacks.

• Minimize damage, shorten recovery time and expenses, and restore systems to normal operation.

• Generate threat intelligence to comprehend threats aimed at customers.

• Leverage threat intelligence to prepare for, thwart, and identify cyber threats.

• Incorporate security measures into DevOps to close the gap between traditional IT and security.

• Ensure rapid and secure delivery of services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education and experience commensurate with the required years of experience for each position level in networking and cybersecurity.

• Information Security Analyst II: 2-4+ years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience with SIEM technologies, including receiving and managing alerts from various log sources.

• Commitment to ongoing learning and enthusiasm for defensive cybersecurity.

• Proficiency in utilizing available resources effectively.

• Advanced problem-solving abilities for emerging security attack scenarios.

• Strong foundational knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Scripting capabilities, preferably in Python.

• Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.

• Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document troubleshooting processes and required responses.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with stringent response-time SLAs.
