This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Develop, maintain, and oversee assigned engineered labor standards and specified work methods.
• Provide support for engineered labor standards and governance of the labor management system.
• Analyze operational performance utilizing labor management, warehouse management, transportation, and other business technology systems.
• Extract and analyze data using SQL, queries, and related analytical tools.
• Collaborate with operations leaders, Industrial Engineering leadership, and cross-functional teams to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead or assist in multi-site improvement initiatives, pilot support, and cross-functional projects.
• Monitor project milestones, follow-up actions, quality assurance reviews, risks, and outcomes.
• Conduct onsite observations, audits, governance reviews, and performance validations.
• Assist in the sustainment and optimization of labor management and related operational systems.
• Create labor models, simulation or congestion models, regression analysis, and other analytical tools.
• Identify, quantify, and prioritize opportunities; support planning, implementation, and tracking of results.
• Provide field education on engineered labor standards, prescribed methods, work measurement, labor systems, Industrial Engineering, and continuous improvement tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with onboarding and capability-building initiatives.
• Accept additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline with relevant Industrial Engineering experience.
• At least 3+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering within a large-scale logistics, distribution, supply chain, or operations setting.
• Experience in developing and maintaining engineered labor standards.
• Practical experience with Industrial Engineering methodologies, work measurement, standardization, operational analysis, project coordination, and process improvement.
• Hands-on experience with time study methodologies, MOST, MTM or Master Standard Data (MSD), time study software, and labor management systems.
• Experience in supporting operational process changes, implementation and sustainment of labor management systems, standards governance, project coordination, or execution of improvements.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or knowledge of practical Lean concepts and methodologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with Blue Yonder LMS is a plus.
• Understanding of work measurement, economy of motion, labor utilization, workflow, layout, process improvement, and standardization.
• Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, statistics, and data analysis to operational challenges.
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, databases, process flow mapping software, AutoCAD, SQL, and related analytical tools.
• Willingness to travel to Sysco facilities or operating companies up to 75% of the time.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without future employment sponsorship.
• Must possess US citizenship or appropriate travel documentation, with the capability to travel abroad to Canada and/or Europe.
