Industrial Engineer – 1st Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Determine facility design needs based on activity levels, product dimensions, product flow, and transportation methods.

• Create production time studies, headcount analyses, downtime evaluations, efficiency enhancement plans, warehouse slotting, and SKU velocity assessments.

• Identify bottlenecks and enhance flow in inbound, outbound, and inventory operations.

• Conduct value stream mapping, process enhancements, and standardization across various sites.

• Support pricing and solutions teams with operational cost data for RFPs.

• Monitor KPIs and create basic analytics for operational metrics.

• Collaborate with vendors to pinpoint operational equipment and automation solutions.

• Develop and oversee project plans for activities aimed at operational improvement.

• Assist Maintenance by creating critical spare-parts lists and min/max trackers.

• Monitor daily P&L for Finance.

• Transform contract documents, proposals, and statements of work into work instructions and operating procedures.

• Submit ISO-compliant work instructions and standard operating procedures to the Quality Management System.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work or military experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience.

• Proficiency with analytical tools such as flow charts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, run charts, etc.

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

• REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport required.

• Familiarity with and adherence to TSA security protocols.

• Capability to travel domestically by road, rail, and air.

• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.

• Knowledge of Supply Chain Warehouse operations is preferred.

• Familiarity with BI software such as Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio, etc., is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to create technical documentation, job aids, procedure manuals, etc.

• Skill in developing actionable research with detailed explanations.

• Capability to produce clear, comprehensive, and precise interpretations.
