Industrial & AES Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily PSRA operations throughout the United States and Canada.

• Ensure that business-unit transactions adhere to relevant regulations and stay updated with regulatory changes.

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing PSRA team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, succession planning, and professional development.

• Set departmental objectives, KPIs, service-level expectations, and resource priorities.

• Promote continuous improvement in service quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Recruit, hire, and facilitate the integration of new employees.

• Supervise daily team functions, acknowledge performance, address issues and gaps, and aid in problem-solving.

• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and spearhead the implementation of regulatory changes.

• Provide regulatory advice to commercial, supply chain, operations, and leadership teams.

• Evaluate regulatory risks related to products, suppliers, acquisitions, and market expansion.

• Represent Azelis during regulatory inspections, audits, and interactions with agencies.

• Assist customers and suppliers with product compliance, registrations, certifications, ingredient acceptability, transportation classifications, and market access.

• Foster commercial growth through customer meetings, supplier evaluations, product assessments, and new opportunities.

• Oversee product document control and ERP item compliance, regulatory alerts, and master data governance.

• Manage compliance of Safety Data Sheets developed by the Data Support Centre in India.

• Uphold relevant certification standards, including ISO 14000, GMP, GMP+, and RSPO.

• Implement and oversee SHEQ-PSRA KPIs.

• Address internal and external nonconformities, off-specification issues, and customer quality complaints.

• Maintain permits, licenses, registrations, and certifications across the United States and Canada.

• Engage in management meetings and relay regulatory issues across market segments.

• Collaborate with departments and teams to exchange best practices and enhance efficiency.

• Contribute to the development of computerized systems and the automation of SHEQ processes.

• Provide expertise for special projects and offer internal support.

• Stay current on regulatory knowledge and train employees on related regulations.

• Adhere to department procedures, policies, and Responsible Distribution™ principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a chemical-related field.

• Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within a quality or regulatory department.

• Preferred minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience.

• Strong preference for experience in supporting chemical distribution, specialty chemicals, ingredients, or manufacturing environments.

• Knowledge of US/Canada chemical regulations is an advantage.

• Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven capability in resolving various issues.

• Strong teamwork skills and ability to manage staff in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly evolving landscape.

• Negotiation skills and political acumen for engaging with authorities and employees.

• Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, ERP, SharePoint, and quality software.

• Familiarity with internet, inventory, order processing, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20–30% as needed.

• Capability to work with mathematical concepts, including probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

• Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret technical instructions.
