Independent Quantitative Analyst

📋 Description

• Generate actionable trading and investment strategies informed by statistically validated signals and market insights.

• Perform research on factors, risk premia, and alpha generation.

• Develop frameworks driven by events and catalysts, including earnings reports, guidance, corporate actions, index modifications, and macroeconomic indicators.

• Examine inter-asset relationships and market conditions, such as risk appetite, inflation, sensitivity to interest rates, liquidity, positioning, and capital flows.

• Create and sustain unique proprietary datasets, models, and production workflows.

• Publish unique research insights tailored for professional investors.

• Clearly communicate and defend research perspectives in conversations with institutional clients.

• Provide personalized service to select institutional clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous or current experience as systematic traders and quantitative researchers/analysts.

• Proficiency in systematic strategies across equities, equity derivatives, and multi-asset classes, including both listed and OTC options, futures, etc.

• Strong research discipline: conducting signal research, feature engineering, thorough backtesting across different timeframes, accounting for realistic frictions, and ensuring clear validation.

• Capability to merge market intuition with statistical analysis.

• Proficient in creating and maintaining unique proprietary datasets and models, which includes data collection, cleaning, normalization, mapping, signal creation, and production workflows.

• Exceptional writing and communication skills; able to clearly articulate and defend research viewpoints in published insights and discussions with institutional clients.

• Significant research, trading, or investment experience with institutional clients (8 years or more).

• Proven quantitative background and evidence of original work, including datasets, models, tools, and strategy research.

• Ability to produce unique insights for professional investors that are well-structured, concise, and defensible.
