Incident Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete response process for high-priority incidents, ensuring coordination of triage and resolution among various teams.

• Facilitate incident response meetings with engineers, leaders, and other key stakeholders.

• Ensure teams remain aligned on priorities, current workstreams, and subsequent steps.

• Convert intricate technical and operational challenges into understandable business impacts and risks.

• Keep comprehensive records of incident timelines, decisions made, actions taken, and resolutions achieved.

• Contribute to constructive post-incident evaluations without assigning blame.

• Assist in root cause investigations and pinpoint actions that enhance resilience.

• Examine production incident data and identify trends.

• Spearhead projects aimed at refining incident response workflows, data gathering, and reporting.

• Engage in an on-call rotation beyond standard business hours.

• Proven experience in Incident Management within a technology-focused setting.

• Demonstrated experience in leading incident response meetings with engineers, executives, and cross-functional teams.

• Capacity to prioritize competing tasks based on urgency, customer impact, and business risk.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Skill in articulating complex technical and operational concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

• Ability to remain composed, focused, and decisive in high-stress environments.

• Analytical mindset with the capability to leverage incident data and trends to discover areas for improvement.

• Familiarity with incident management and observability tools like Jira, PagerDuty, Datadog, or equivalent platforms.

• Readiness and capability to participate in an on-call rotation, including work outside regular business hours.

• May need to secure a gaming license issued by the relevant state authority as a condition of employment.
