This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the complete administration for monthly and quarterly variable compensation, ensuring precise and timely calculations, payroll entries, plan documentation, and reconciliation controls that guarantee payouts are thorough, traceable, and ready for audit.
• Collaborate on the design and execution of new and modified incentive compensation programs by modeling proposed alterations, transforming approved designs into actionable business rules, and making sure plans are prepared for timely launch.
• Develop and sustain scalable reporting systems that provide plan participants and leadership with clear insights into attainment, payouts, compensation expenses, and plan effectiveness.
• Act as the main point of contact for all compensation-related queries and issues, probing discrepancies, determining root causes, coordinating resolutions with stakeholders, and effectively communicating outcomes to employees and business leaders.
• Foster ongoing improvements in the incentive compensation operating model by identifying opportunities to boost scalability, automation, data quality, and controls across processes and systems.
• Over 5 years of experience in incentive compensation, Revenue Operations, Finance, or a similar field, with at least 3 years of practical experience in managing variable compensation programs.
• Proven track record in overseeing recurring incentive compensation processes from start to finish, including commission calculations, plan administration, reconciliations, payroll entries, participant assistance, and issue resolution.
• Experience in supporting the design, modeling, implementation, and management of incentive compensation plans, with the capability to convert plan concepts into clear business rules and actionable processes.
• Familiarity with incentive compensation management software (CaptivateIQ is highly preferred) and CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce), along with a solid understanding of how bookings, quotas, crediting, and organizational changes impact compensation results.
• Advanced skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including complex calculations, handling large datasets, scenario modeling, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities and expertise in compensation controls, including the capacity to pinpoint discrepancies, investigate root causes, apply sustainable solutions, and assess proposed plan changes for financial, operational, and behavioral effects.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional projects, influence decisions among stakeholders without direct authority, and convey complex compensation concepts clearly to participants, business leaders, and senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a focus on process improvement, the ability to manage multiple compensation cycles and conflicting priorities, and a high level of discretion in handling confidential information.
