Inbound Patient Account Services Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Acquire an in-depth understanding of CVS Specialty procedures and the influence of customer service on a patient’s journey from order to reimbursement.

• Assist patients in navigating intricate billing and reimbursement processes.

• Establish trusting relationships with patients through significant and pertinent conversations.

• Handle challenging or emotional scenarios with empathy and the necessary urgency.

• Accurately record each interaction within the designated Revenue Cycle system.

• Document, assess, follow up on, and resolve patient inquiries.

• Collect and analyze patient information to ascertain eligibility for payment plans.

• Achieve call center performance metrics, including call volume and quality.

• Collaborate with other departments across CVS Specialty utilizing technology.

• Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, outgoing, and compassionate telephone demeanor.

• Identify and report potential trends to Leadership for evaluation.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, collections practices, and/or infusion services.

• Proficiency in computer use, including a minimum of 1 year working with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in customer service.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Ability to provide emotional support and demonstrate empathy.

• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business requirements, including 8-hour shifts from 8:00 am–8:00 pm EST, Monday–Friday.

• A high-school diploma or GED is required and must be verifiable.

• Preferred: 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, collections practices, and/or infusion services.

• Preferred: 1 year of experience in pharmacy billing and reimbursement.
