In-House Clinician – General Medicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Review technical documentation and clinical evaluation reports from manufacturers.

• Evaluate the sufficiency of the clinical evidence backing medical devices in terms of quality and quantity.

• Provide clinical expertise for medical device conformity assessments.

• Analyze equivalence rationales and risk assessments.

• Assess clinical claims, indications, contraindications, user information, and warnings.

• Evaluate endpoints, follow-up, and clinical evaluation data.

• Review post-market surveillance and post-market clinical follow-up activities.

• Coordinate and delegate work to qualified medical experts across various clinical disciplines.

• Review incoming applications and assign them to the appropriate medical expertise.

• Mentor technical and clinical staff at BSI as well as external clinical experts.

• Develop internal best practice guidelines for clinical evaluation and data requirements.

• Provide support to the commercial/marketing team as needed.

• Deliver internal and external training sessions.

• Appoint external experts for innovative technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• General Practitioner, Family Doctor, or Intensivist.

• Experienced clinician with a background in various medical devices.

• Proficient with a diverse range of devices and their indications for use.

• Skilled in analyzing clinical data.

• Strong understanding of clinical investigations.

• Medical expertise in a pertinent clinical specialty.

• Capable of working with manufacturers' technical documentation and clinical evaluation reports.

• Able to assess the quality and quantity of clinical evidence.

• Competent in evaluating post-market surveillance and post-market clinical follow-up activities.
