This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives within the Innovation and Strategy Division.
• Facilitate the Rural Health Transformation Project through stakeholder engagement, implementation planning, operational readiness activities, project monitoring, and execution support.
• Oversee assigned implementation efforts and project workstreams.
• Manage implementation activities for designated projects and initiatives.
• Create and maintain implementation plans, milestones, action logs, and project documentation.
• Monitor deliverables and engage with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
• Aid in project launches, transitions, pilot programs, and operational deployments.
• Act as a key resource and subject matter expert for the Rural Health Transformation initiative.
• Organize project activities, stakeholder meetings, workgroups, and implementation workstreams.
• Track project outcomes, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
• Foster collaboration with community partners, providers, state agencies, and internal departments.
• Offer feedback, coaching, and mentoring to staff while promoting a learning environment.
• Enhance cross-team collaboration and partnership.
• Manage communications among project teams, subject matter experts, providers, and external partners.
• Prepare meeting materials, status updates, presentations, and implementation reports.
• Facilitate meetings and document action items, decisions, and follow-up tasks.
• Organize readiness activities including training schedules, communication plans, workflow development, and implementation checklists.
• Assist operational teams with new processes, services, programs, and system changes.
• Document and track lessons learned and implementation outcomes.
• Maintain project schedules, action logs, risk trackers, and implementation dashboards.
• Monitor milestone progress and escalate issues, barriers, or risks to project leadership.
• Support data collection, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships across departments and stakeholders.
• Assist with special projects and other implementation-related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, healthcare administration, business administration, human services, organizational development, information systems, project management, or a related field.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in coordinating, implementing, or leading projects, programs, operational initiatives, or organizational improvement efforts.
• Experience in project coordination and implementation activities.
• Proven ability in leading workgroups, meetings, or project workstreams.
• Skilled in managing project schedules, action plans, or deliverables.
• Proficient in stakeholder communication and coordination.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to lead project workstreams and implementation activities.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in stakeholder engagement and facilitation.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.
• Experience with project management software and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of healthcare, Medicaid, behavioral health, or rural health systems.
• Understanding of change management and operational readiness principles.
• Must be a resident of North Carolina.
• Project management certification is preferred.
