Implementation Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Guide customers through the successful implementation of SOPHiA GENETICS solutions, starting from initial planning and sample selection to configuration, training, and adoption using the MaxCare Program methodology.

• Collaborate across various functions to ensure smooth project execution, integration, and adoption of the genomic analysis platform and tools.

• Work alongside technical and Sales teams to comprehend customer needs and create Statements of Work (SOWs).

• Manage project activities to ensure the successful execution of MaxCare Programs, including schedules, timelines, sampling strategies, and issue resolution.

• Offer onboarding assistance and technical training throughout customer-defined NGS workflows.

• Convert wet-lab, bioinformatics, data, and clinical requirements into actionable implementation decisions and customer solutions.

• Assist with specific technical setup tasks, such as custom reporting and federated SSO authentication.

• Collaborate with specialized technical teams on intricate technical requirements.

• Establish trusted relationships with sophisticated customer accounts.

• Work with regional and global teams to provide a consistent customer experience.

• Report to the Senior Manager, Implementation Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in a relevant field such as Genetics, Molecular Biology, Oncology, or similar.

• Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Sequencing, library preparation, bioinformatics, and related consumables and products is essential.

• Logical, process-oriented, and detail-focused, with the ability to build, define, and maintain MaxCare Program timelines.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are mandatory.

• Previous experience in a Commercial Technical support role related to Genomics, such as Field Applications Scientist, Clinical Application Consultant, Technical Specialist/Advisor, or Subject Matter Expert in a Clinical Diagnostics, Biotech, or Medical setting is highly advantageous.

• Strong project management capabilities, with a proven track record of effectively coordinating and communicating with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
