This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the hands-on technical implementation of OpenLoop’s platform for clients.
• Convert approved client solutions and requirements into detailed technical work breakdowns.
• Set up OpenLoop’s platform and tailor implementation-specific workflows.
• Execute and verify client and third-party integrations utilizing APIs, webhooks, authentication, and data mapping.
• Carry out data migration, cleanup, transformation, backfill, and reconciliation tasks.
• Utilize SQL, APIs, logs, payloads, configuration tools, and AI-assisted scripting or development to accomplish implementation tasks and troubleshoot issues.
• Configure event-driven automation and triggering logic throughout the platform.
• Collaborate with client technical teams to clarify requirements, share specifications, troubleshoot integration issues, and validate expected outcomes.
• Design and implement technical test plans that encompass complete workflows, failure paths, retries, duplicate events, data integrity, permissions, and external dependencies.
• Prepare technical environments, data, and functionalities for UAT; address technical defects and provide evidence of readiness.
• Assess whether implementations fulfill OpenLoop’s technical definition of completion and provide technical approval.
• Diagnose implementation and production-stabilization challenges and establish reproducible evidence.
• Differentiate between configuration issues, deployment defects, data problems, client integration failures, third-party failures, and product deficiencies.
• Address implementation-related issues and escalate legitimate product defects or capability gaps as necessary.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, including configuration records, mappings, integration specifications, deployment notes, test evidence, known limitations, and as-built details.
• Supply the Technical Project Manager with estimates, technical status updates, dependencies, risks, and modifications.
• Assist with go-live and stabilization, subsequently transitioning implementations to Support and Customer Success.
• Employ AI judiciously while ensuring the accuracy and safety of the resulting work.
• Contribute reusable configurations, scripts, test packs, documentation, and implementation patterns.
• Transform operational and clinical requirements into patient workflows and validate experiences from both patient and operator perspectives.
• 3–6+ years of experience in implementation engineering, integration engineering, solutions engineering, customer engineering, application engineering, technical consulting, or support engineering.
• Proven experience in personally implementing technical solutions for external customers—not merely managing implementation projects.
• Hands-on expertise with APIs, webhooks, authentication, structured payloads, data mapping, and third-party integrations.
• Experience in configuring complex SaaS platforms or implementation-specific workflows.
• Experience with data migrations, transformations, cleanup, backfills, or reconciliation tasks.
• Proficiency in using SQL and technical debugging tools to analyze data and application behavior.
• Experience in testing complete integrations and workflows across various systems.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities using logs, payloads, configurations, test results, and reproducible scenarios.
• Experience collaborating directly with both technical and non-technical customer stakeholders.
• Capability to produce clear technical documentation that another engineer can use to understand and support the implementation.
• Ability to differentiate implementation tasks from product defects and clearly specify required Product or Engineering support.
• Experience in supporting solutions through UAT, go-live, and production stabilization phases.
• Preferred: Background in healthcare technology, virtual care, EHRs, pharmacy, labs, clinical workflows, RCM, or provider data.
• Preferred: Practical experience with REST APIs, webhooks, event triggers, and low-code workflow/automation tools.
• Preferred: Familiarity with DNS, DNS masking, SMTP, Postman, cURL, API clients, monitoring tools, and cloud-based development environments.
• Preferred: Ability to write or modify lightweight scripts using Python, JavaScript, GraphQL, or similar languages.
• Preferred: Understanding of environment management, deployment workflows, and configuration versioning.
• Preferred: Experience in creating automated technical or regression tests.
• Preferred: Responsible use of AI-assisted development and debugging tools.
• Preferred: Experience in a fast-growing environment where implementation standards and tools were still being developed.
• Medical, Dental & Vision coverage.
