This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the initial implementation for new Benchling clients as well as expansion initiatives for current clients.
• Take full responsibility for the success of the implementation from project initiation to go-live.
• Create and carry out comprehensive project plans while managing project tasks and deliverables.
• Ensure that deployments are completed on schedule, within budget, and of high quality.
• Comprehend customers' scientific workflows and determine how Benchling can fulfill their business requirements.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions.
• Conduct data modeling and configure applications.
• Formulate test plans and oversee the execution of user acceptance testing.
• Provide training and onboarding for users.
• Offer guidance to customers throughout the implementation process and assist them in using Benchling Best Practices.
• Record customer challenges and advocate for product modifications internally.
• Recognize opportunities for account expansion and collaborate with sales post-go-live.
• MS or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Biological Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory or R&D environment.
• Ideally, experience in antibody discovery, strain engineering, or process development.
• Ability to empathize with scientists and rapidly grasp complex scientific concepts.
• Experience in software implementation, preferably with a SaaS software organization.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with scientists, IT project managers, and executives.
• Capability to thrive in a startup atmosphere.
• Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and perseverance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% based on client and project requirements.
• Familiarity with Benchling, especially in the role of Benchling administrator, is preferred but not mandatory.
